Kiama is a small coastal municipality south of Shellharbour: the town itself around the harbour and blowhole, Kiama Downs and Minnamurra to the north, Gerringong and Gerroa to the south, and Jamberoo and the dairy valleys inland below Saddleback Mountain. A large share of the housing is holiday accommodation and weekenders, so the person on record at a Kiama or Gerroa address is often only there on weekends and school holidays; the farms up the Jamberoo valley have long driveways and gates that need to be found in daylight.
